The Arc of Florida works with local, state and national partners and advocates for people with intellectual disabilities, autism, spina bifida, cerebral palsy (CP), prader-willi syndrome and other developmental disabilities to be fully included in all aspects of their community. The Arc of Florida also works to reduce the incidence of and eliminate the consequences of developmental disabilities through education, awareness, research, advocacy and support of families, friends and the community. The Arc of St. Lucie County is an affiliated chapter of The Arc of Florida.
The Arc US is a tremendous resource for people wanting to know more about intellectual or developmental disabilities. They give a broader picture of what is happening at the national level.
The Arc US is a peerless advocate for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD), preserving and protecting their fundamental rights through advocacy and action in support of legislation for civil rights, employment, housing and supports. They connect people with disabilities, their families, professionals and others (like you!) to create hope, growth and change.
