The Arc of St. Lucie County has been a part of the St. Lucie County Transportation Disadvantaged (TD) Coordinating System since 1996. A total of 25 agency vehicles are used to provide daily transportation for children, adolescents, and adults who are enrolled in Arc programs. The Arc of St. Lucie County is grateful to FDOT for their grant funding towards fleet vehicle purchases.
The Arc of St. Lucie County’s System Safety Program Plan (SSPP) has been developed to comply with provisions of statute and codes as established by the State of Florida. The SSPP describes the operational and maintenance rules and requirements that shall be implemented in order to assure a high level of safety at The Arc. The SSPP is a means of improving documentation, communications, and coordination within the transportation operation.
The Arc of St. Lucie County also maintains a Transportation Operations Procedure (TOP) policy as is required by FDOT. The Arc also conducts daily fleet vehicle checks, provides annual driver safety training, and performs annual driver license record checks for all of our staff drivers.
